Titleist ZM Forged Irons
The Titleist ZM Forged Irons were designed with the better player in mind. Forged from soft 1020 carbon steel, they feature a high performance muscle back design, which gives the feel and workability that serious golfers are used to. Like the Titleist ZB forged irons, the ZM feature a unique Z muscle design, which works to distribute the weight of the club from the heel to the toe. What this does is to ensure that the CG is directly in the center of the face to give a solid feel.
The minimal progressive offset of these clubs allows maximum trajectory control and playability. Also, because of their narrow sole, the ZMs reduce the amount of skipping on firm lies, and the appropriate bounce reduces digging. Also like the ZBs, the ZM forged irons feature duel hosel lengths. The long irons have a shorter hosel in order to keep the weight on the lower part of the club for a better launch, and the mid and short irons have a longer hosel to add control and to manage the ball’s flight.
Aesthetically speaking, the ZMs are a superior club as well. Designed for skilled golfers, they feature the classic, traditional appearance that more experienced golfers prefer. They feature a True Temper Dynamic Gold Steel shaft and a Titleist Tour Velvet Round grip.
All in all, the Titleist ZM Forged Irons are a high performance, low forgiveness set of clubs intended for low handicap golfers. While largely unforgiving, they provide the feel, control, and workability that serious golfers are looking for.
